Thank you for the answers, Lina. They made the picture clear, so here is the whole plan
at a glance first, with the detail below.
The short version
Recommended
Full site, events on a calendar
Package value $750
$450
After the 40% non-profit discount.
Lighter
Full site, events shown as a list
Package value $650
$390
Same site, events without the calendar view.
Pay after
Live, then over 2 months
- A fresh website built for ICHF, not the generic Hostinger template you are fighting now. This is what makes the backgrounds and titles you can't remove disappear for good.
- Seven clean pages plus a simple events section you can update yourself.
- Basic SEO, Google Analytics and Search Console so people can find you on Google.
- Tickets and donations stay on Eventbrite and Zeffy, linked cleanly from the site.
- A homepage built around your community, so visitors feel why they should join.
- 12 months of free support after launch (1 hour a month) for small changes, training or a quick question, so you're never left on your own.
01
What we're actually solving
Your current site isn't "bad", it's built on Hostinger's automatic AI theme, which drops in demo
backgrounds and layouts that were never about ICHF. That is why:
- a background appears on the home page on iPad that has nothing to do with you,
- a stock photo of a man sits behind the Gallery that you can't remove, and
- page titles come in half covered every time you add one, like on United Event.
These are not three separate bugs to chase. They are all the same cause: a template fighting you. The
clean fix is a website built specifically for ICHF, where every background, colour and
title is intentional and editable. That solves all three at once, and gives you a site that finally looks
like the organisation behind it.
Your budget, respected
You asked for the low end, and this proposal stays there. I've kept the build lean and applied a
40% non-profit discount, so you get a full custom site for less than my usual price.
Because it's ICHF, and because it's you.
02
The big idea: a homepage about belonging
Right now your website and social media lean almost entirely on the Night Market. It's a wonderful
event, but it's a highlight, not the whole story. My idea for the homepage is to lead with the thing that
actually makes people care and join: community.
Homepage narrative
"Keep the culture alive. Find your community in Atlanta."
The page walks a visitor from feeling to action, in this order:
- Belonging first, who ICHF is, and the feeling of finding your people far from home.
- What you gain by joining, friendship, your children learning their heritage, events, volunteering, a community that shows up for each other.
- Proof it's real, the Indonesian Night Market as the flagship moment, with photos and life.
- An easy next step, come to IndoNight, get involved, or donate, always one click away.
That's my recommendation, but it's your foundation, so tell me if you picture it
differently. We settle the direction together on the prototype (Section 05) before a single real page is
built, so there are no surprises.
03
What's included
The pages
Seven pages, each with a clear job. Where you don't have much yet, like sponsors, I'll design the space
to look intentional with what we have and grow into the rest.
Home
The community story plus clear ways to get involved.
About Us
The founding story, mission, and the people behind ICHF.
Events
Upcoming and past events with date, time, location, plus a calendar.
IndoNight Market
Your flagship, with tickets and donations linking to Eventbrite and Zeffy.
Gallery
Clean photo and video gallery, no more stock background.
Get Involved / Sponsors
Volunteer, become a member, and a "become a sponsor" call.
Contact
Email, phone, socials, and a simple message form.
The build
- A fresh WordPress site designed for ICHF, your red and white logo colours, mobile friendly, and easy for you to edit later. This is what ends the "backgrounds I can't remove" problem for good.
- A simple events system, add an event (title, date, time, location) and it shows up automatically, including on a calendar. You manage it yourself, no plugin jungle.
- Tickets and donations stay where they work, clean buttons linking out to your existing Eventbrite and Zeffy, exactly as you asked.
- Basic SEO plus Google setup, so people searching "Indonesian community Atlanta" can find you. Includes a Google Analytics account (to see your visitors) and Google Search Console (submitted for indexing so Google lists your pages).
- AI-assisted content polish, I use AI tools to research, sharpen and keep the right tone across your pages, so the writing reads professional and consistent (details in Section 06).
- Launch plus a simple handover, I show you how to add an event, swap a photo, and edit text, so you're never stuck again.
- 12 months of free support after launch, one hour every month for small changes to the site, a training refresher, or a quick consultation whenever you need a hand. No monthly fee, it's included.

Everything below is bundled into one package, then the non-profit discount is applied to the whole
thing. The line values show where the work goes.

Included free, on top
12 months of after-launch support, one hour every month, for small changes to the
site, a training refresher, or a quick consultation whenever you need a hand. It's not added to the price,
it's simply included, so you're never left on your own once the site is live.
A lighter option, if you prefer
The package above includes a calendar. If you'd rather keep it even simpler, we can do
event listings without the calendar view and bring the package down:
Recommended
Events with calendar
$750$450
Events appear as a clean list and on an actual calendar view, so visitors can see the month at a glance. The fuller, more polished experience.
Lighter
Display events only
$650$390
Events are shown with their date, time and location, but not on a calendar grid. Simpler, and a little less to build.
The difference, in plain words
Manage on a calendar means your events also appear on a month calendar visitors can
click through. Display events means each event is shown with its date, time and location
as a list, clear and complete, just without the calendar grid. Same information either way, the calendar
is simply the nicer way to browse it.
05
How payment works
I know how it is for a small non-profit, so I've made this as easy as I can: you pay nothing to
start, and nothing is due until the finished website is handed over to you.
To begin
$0
No deposit. We start as soon as you're happy with the plan.
At handover
50% · $225
Half is due when the finished site is live and handed to you.
Within 2 months
50% · $225
The remaining half, split into two easy installments over the following two months.
06
What I need from you (kept small)
The most important thing: this should feel easy for you, not like homework. Here is the
short list of what I need.
🖼️
Photos and videos
I can pull images from your current site and social media, but if you can either pick your favourites or share a few better ones, especially of people, events and the community, it makes the site much stronger.
📝
A little raw content for a few pages
Mainly About Us, IndoNight Market and Sponsors. I can lift what's already on the site, but there isn't much there yet. You give me the facts in rough notes, and I use AI tools to research, shape and polish them into clean page text with the right tone. The guide below makes this quick.
💬
Your feedback on the prototype
Once I show you the live homepage prototype, just tell me what you love and what you'd change. That's how we lock the look before the full build.
The content guide, About Us (the important one)
Your "About" page is nearly empty right now, and it's the page that makes people trust and join you. You
don't need to write it properly. Just answer these on your phone in rough bullet points,
and I'll turn them into the finished page:
- When and why did ICHF start? What was missing for the Indonesian community in Atlanta that made someone say "we need this"?
- Who started it, and what did they hope to build?
- What does ICHF actually do through the year, events, gatherings, helping newcomers, teaching kids the culture?
- Who is it for? Families, new arrivals, second-generation kids, the wider Atlanta community?
- A small story, a moment, a family, a child who learned a dance, anything that shows what ICHF means to real people.
- Where do you want to be in five years?
- Why should someone join or donate today?
- The Night Market, in a sentence or two, what is it and why does it matter to the mission?
That's it. Rough bullet points are perfect, the shaping and polish is my job.
07
The timeline
Your event is 17 October 2026, which gives us comfortable room. One important note so
nothing slips: the clock starts once you've sent me your photos, videos and answers. That
hand-off is the one thing that decides the launch date.
1
Live prototype and your feedback~1 week
After you send your basic information, images and videos, I build a live prototype (starting with the homepage) and show it to you. You give feedback and we finalise exactly how it looks and works, before the full build begins.
2
Build the full website~3 weeks
I turn the approved prototype into the complete working WordPress site: all pages, the events system with calendar, and your content in place.
3
SEO, launch and handover~1 week
Basic SEO, Google Analytics and Search Console setup and indexing, final checks, go-live, and a short session showing you how to add events and edit pages yourself.
Total build time: about 5 weeks
from the day your materials arrive, landing well before 17 October with buffer to spare.

That's the whole plan, Lina. My goal is a website that finally looks like ICHF, that you can update
without fighting it, and that helps your community grow, without it costing much or becoming a burden on
you. Tell me what you think, what you'd change, and which events option you'd like. Once you're happy, the
next step is the fun one: I build the live homepage so you can see it.
